Don’t miss ‘Secrets of a Soccer Mom’

June 4, 2015   ·   0 Comments

It may not be the Women’s World Cup but Secrets of a Soccer Mom is definitely worth seeing.
Josh Oatman makes his directing debut in community theatre on the June 12th to 14th weekend with Secrets of a Soccer Mom by Kathleen Clark. Three women reluctantly take the field in a mothers vs. sons soccer game. They intend to let the children win, but as the game unfolds they become intent on scoring. The competition ignites a fierce desire to recapture their youthful good-humour, independence and sexiness, paving the way toward a better understanding of themselves, their families and the changes they need to make in their lives. Whether you’re currently a soccer mom (or dad) or whether you once were, you’ll relate to the trials and tribulations of the three ladies as they progress from ranting to strategizing to surprising themselves and their kids (and husbands, too!)
Performances are June 12th and 13th at 8 p.m. and June 13th and 14th at 2 p.m. at Grace Tipling Hall and tickets are available from Caravaggio IDA, Holmes Appliances and Music Shop, Shelburne Town Hall and online at www.tiplingstagecompany.com. For community group fundraising, as well as for club outings, alumni reunions, birthday parties, etc., a $5 discount per ticket is available for groups of 10 or more.
Tipling Stage Company’s current exciting community theatre season in Shelburne comes to an end with this production, but next season’s brochure, featuring another selection of plays that you definitely won’t want to miss, will be available shortly!
