Supporting the Breakfast Club

June 18, 2015   ·   0 Comments

Centre Dufferin District High School Students Taylor Barclay (left) and Kyle Lloyd were at the Shelburne Farmers Market June 11th volunteering their time and supporting the CDDHS Breakfast Club. CDDHS art teacher Emily Darling said the breakfast program is an initiative of “Food & Friends” which supports student nutrition in the schools. The organization, through the Children’s Foundation of Guelph-Wellington, provides students with a good start to their day to improve their ability to learn and succeed in their educational and social pursuits. Taylor and Kyle were helping to sell furniture and decorative items that were made in the wood and welding programs at CDDHS to raise funds to buy nutritional supplies for the Breakfast Club.
