On Wednesday June 10th at 11:42 p.m., Dufferin OPP conducted Stationary Speed Enforcement on the County Road 109 facing east near the 13th Line East Garafraxa.
Police observed a westbound vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and activated their radar. The vehicle was clocked in moving radar at 169 km in a posted 80 km per hour speed zone. A traffic stop was initiated.
As a result police have charged a 24 year old male driver from East Garafraxa with Race Motor vehicle. His driver’s license and his Pontiac sedan were both impounded for 7 days.
The accused will appear in court of July 15, in Orangeville Provincial Offence court to answer to the charge.
