On Sunday August 23rd, a resident called the Shelburne Police when she arrived home from a vacation at her apartment to find it had been damaged and broken into.
An investigation ensued which led the police to an Orangeville man who had connections to the victim.
As a result, the Orangeville man who is in his 30’s, was arrested by Shelburne Police and charged with two counts of break and enter, two counts of being unlawfully in a dwelling place, and two counts of mischief – all under the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was released on a promise to appear and undertaking with strict conditions, while he awaits his first court appearance date in September at the Orangeville Courthouse.
Due to the connections between the victim and the accused, the exact location of the incident and the name of the accused are not being released.
