Excellence in tourism

Headwaters Tourism celebrated excellence at their annual awards ceremony, “A Taste of Tourism” on Wednesday, November 25th at the Dufferin County Museum & Archives. The Taste of Tourism awards honour businesses and individuals who “exemplify excellence, and help profile the Headwaters region as one Ontario’s premier rural tourism destinations.” Representing for the Tourism Innovator award winner, Headwaters Parade of Horses (L to R): artist Britta Elmberg, Anne Marie Warburton (Alton Mill artists collective), artist David Arrigo, Ross Millar (chair of the Headwaters Equine Leadership Group), artist Dorothee Cosack, and artist Janet Simmons-Sweet. Guests at the event not only enjoyed at taste of tourism, but a taste of great food and beverages from several of the County’s finest establishments including Heatherlea Farm Market, Gourmandissimo Fine Food & Catering, Landman Gardens & Bakery, Pommies Cider Co., Rosemont General Store & Café, Spirit Tree Estate Cidery and The Friendly Chef Adventures. A special presentation of the Chairperson’s Award of Merit by Headwaters Tourism’s Board Chair was presented to Wayne Townsend, in recognition of his “commitment and passion” to the tourism community.”
