Children’s Programs:
A Baby Time program will be starting soon. Tell your friends and make it a mom, baby and friends outing. It will be Wednesday mornings from 10.30 to 11 a.m. for newborns to 18 months. There will be finger plays, songs, and story.
If you are interested please call the Library to register.
Hurry, hurry, because there are spaces still available for the Super Reader’s Club and the Silver Birch club on Tuesdays from 3.30 to 4.30 p.m.
Story time is on Fridays from 10.30 to 11.15 a.m.
Please call the Library at 519-925-2168 for more information or drop in to see us.
Forest of Reading for Grades 3 – 6 and our Super Reader’s Club for children from Kindergarten to Grade 6 will continue for six weeks.
Each child will receive a Passport to Being a Super Reader.
There will be weekly themes and activities and prizes for those who have completed the week’s theme. Please register, check it out and join the fun.
Teen Scene
We launched the White Pine Award program last week with a giant game of Book Cover Twister, which did not disappoint. Participants became familiar with this year’s nominees by twisting, turning, and laughing into classic Twister poses. Additionally, a short lesson on how to write a proper (short) book review was given, another element that is crucial to this program.
This week we will be playing White Pine character Guess Who? Participants will team up or compete to describe the characters on their boards! Not only that, but our first reading prize will be drawn for and handed out!
