OPP investigate B&E in Mulmur

On June 4 at noon Dufferin OPP were dispatched to a residential break and enter on the Mulmur-Tosorontio Townline in Mulmur Township.

Preliminary investigation reveals that homeowner came home and found residence was insecure. Entry was gained by kicking in the rear  door of the house. Thieves entered the master bedroom and stole jewelry.

A Neighbourhood canvas reveals a possible suspect vehicle as older beige Toyota Sienna Mini-van plate unknown. This vehicle was seen in the area just prior to Break In

This is fourth similar type of break and enter over the past week in Dufferin OPP’s Detachment area.

Police are reminding residents to contact the OPP Communications Centre immediately at 1-888-310-1122 to report any suspicious activity or suspicious vehicles in the area.  Information such as suspect physical descriptions, suspect vehicles and direction of travel are useful tools for investigators.

Partnerships, information sharing and collaboration are the keys to success of crime prevention through community engagement.
