“Spirit Touches Art, Art Touches Spirit”, an artistic extension of outreach at Trinity United Church in Shelburne, returns next Saturday.
The event, now in its third season, runs from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. on October 15th, welcoming the community free of charge to celebrate art in Dufferin County.
Guests will enjoy the sanctuary as a Concert Hall with local entertainers performing in a variety of disciplines, including music, poetry, and dance.
They will also have the opportunity to tour the visual art gallery featuring area artists working in many mediums.
Spirit Touches Art, Art Touches Spirit founder Ann McAlpine has long held that Trinity’s sanctuary “has some of the very best acoustics for music in the region.”
The church hopes “to reach out to the larger Shelburne community in a slightly different way than just church on Sundays,” says Mrs. McAlpine.
The event, hosted by the ever-entertaining Jamie McAlpine, features five hours of non-stop entertainment upstairs on the performance stage and guests are welcome to stay and enjoy the event for as little or as long as they wish.
