So, how long can you really park for in downtown Shelburne?

If you are a little confused as to what the parking limit is in the Shelburne downtown core, it’s no wonder.

With the parking signs on the north side of Main Street indicating three hours, and the south side of Main Street indicating two hours, whose to know what’s correct.

At October 31’s Council meeting, the Shelburne Free Press asked Council to clarify the parking limit in the downtown core and also inquired about the incorrect signage.

“The signs that say two hours are incorrect and will be changed to reflect the three-hour limit,” said Mayor Ken Bennington.

When asked when that will be taking place, Mayor Bennington responded, “the materials for the signs just came in on Friday, so they should be changed in the next day or so.”

Hopefully this week will see the old signs coming down and the new ones going up so there will be no more confusion as to how long you can really park in the downtown core.
