You don’t often find a genuine barn in the heart of any town, but Anne Fisher and Dave Apple stand with the life-size cardboard statue of Win Hand in front of the small barn and stable built for him in about 1876. Mr. Apple is the present owner of the all-timber structure that, he says, has calculations written on it. Ms. Fisher, from Michigan, is Mr. Hand’s great-great-granddaughter.
