Dufferin OPP were busy over July 20th and 21st on Airport road in both Town of Mono and Mulmur township laying 4 racing charges.
On Saturday July 20th, police clocked a 40 year old male Caledon resident operating a motorcycle southbound on Airport Road coming into Mansfield, just north of 10 side road in Mulmur township. His speed was 159km/h in an 80km/h zone.
The second traffic stop was northbound Airport road near 15th Sideroad of Mulmur Township. The male motorcycle driver 30 years old of Brampton charged for travelling 139km/h in an 80km/h zone.
The third incident occurred on Sunday July 21st, involved a motorcycle travelling southbound on Airport Road, south of 30th side road, Mono. The 27 year old male driver of Brampton charged for travelling 169km/h in an 80km/h zone.
The fourth and final traffic stop was in the same location, when a 46 year old male driver of Georgetown was charged for travelling 137km/h in the 80km/h zone.
All vehicles were impounded for 7 days and each drivers license was suspended for 7 days. All accused will appear in Orangeville at a later date.
Police are reminding residents to contact the OPP Communications Centre immediately at 1-888-310-1122 to traffic complaints in the area. Information such as suspect physical descriptions, suspect vehicles and direction of travel are useful tools for investigators.
