The Shelburne Cricket Club is looking for new players to join and play the sport this season.

After the inaugural season last year and a lot of success, the Club is expanding and looking for players who want to become involved.

Last year the Club played several matches at KTH Park in Shelburne against several other cricket clubs from around the region.

Because of the Club’s success in 2021, the Club registered as a non-profit organization.

Once registered, members officially elected Ahsen Siddiqui as Club president.

Once elected, Ahsen selected a team made of multi-culture and diverse residents of Shelburne including youth
and women.

The Club’s management team includes Creg Parker, vice president, Maira Quraishi, treasurer, and Zaid Baig, media operations.

The club executive wants to make sure that the 2022 summer cricket season is professionally organized, more competitive, and more fun than last year in order to capture the community’s interest and youth involvement in the sport.

This year the Club is planning to have several events during the cricket season including an opening ceremony in May. They will also have fundraising events, such as Hi-Tea, a barbecue, and an awards gala night at the end of the season.

You can find out more about the Shelburne Cricket Club at the website at: www.shelburnecricketclub.com and on Facebook and Instagram.

This year the social media hashtags are #gameison and #shelburnecricket.
