Open auditions will take place for the Tipling Stage Company’s production of Dick Whittington (and his Cat) by Bev Nicholas, on Sunday, August 11th at 2 p.m. at Grace Tiplng Hall in Shelburne. Casting of five men and five women in principal parts, and three men and three women in chorus parts. Everybody interested in theatre is invited to come out and audition.
Dick Whittington and his cat, Tammy, journey to London to seek their fortune after hearing that the streets are paved with gold. When he finds they are not, he is hired to work in the kitchen of Alderman Fitzwarren, where he meets some colourful characters and the Alderman’s beautiful daughter. Tammy the cat becomes renowned for her rat-catching abilities and the evil King Rat sets out to destroy Dick, and become the Lord Mayor of London.

Rehearsals – Sundays 1 – 5 p.m. and Thursdays 7 – 10 p.m. October 20th to January 22nd.
Performances – January 24th and 25th at 8 p.m., 26th at 2 p.m.; January 31st and February 1st at 8 p.m., February 2nd at 2 p.m.
