Normac Chapter

November 7, 2013   ·   0 Comments

The first regular meeting of Normac Chapter, Shelburne, “Magic of the Midnight Sun” was held on October 8 with visitors from Barrie, Midland, Stayner, and Stroud being present for our Halloween meeting under the capable direction of our newly installed Worthy Matron Colleen Wood and Worthy Patron Maurice Oldfield.

We were saddened to have lost one of our own members, Sister Beth Looby, who passed to her eternal rest on September 23.

After the close of the meeting a Halloween parade was held with many great costumes. The Scarecrow won first prize; The Old Farmer was second and the Wicked Witch was third, after a lot of deliberation by the judges.

Our Worthy Matron’s Special Project this year is the Children’s Wish Foundation. Great food, fun and fellowship followed provided by the Grand Valley Gang, bringing another great evening to an end.

Don’t forget to come out and support our officers on November 12 as Bea Andrews will visit us on her official visit. We would like to see as many members as possible at this very important meeting.
