Wolves win some, lose some

The Shelburne Wolves Midget Local League #2 team has had a very busy start to the 2013–14 season and are currently sitting with a record of 4–2–0.

On October 29th, Creemore came to town to face off with the Wolves. Brian Burke put the Wolves on the score board first on a great set up from Jordan Metz. This was the lone marker until well into the third when creemore scored twice to take a 2–1 victory.

The following night, the team travelled to Collingwood and once again had another close match. Burke scored for the Wolves assisted by Rhett Flemrning and Chris Garrett. Flemming added another on a set from Darren Taylor and Kyle Tomlinson. Collingwood managed to tie the game and in the dying minutes. Burke scored from Flemming and Garrett to give the Wolves the win.

On Saturday, November 2nd the Wolves hosted Flesherton and were handed a 6–3 loss.

The following evening Shelburne traveled to Midland looking for redemption. The Wolves came out strong and skated to a dominate 9–0 win. Scoring for Shelburne was Burke (4) Rachel Fazackerley with her 1st career hat trick, Taylor and Metz. Picking up assists were Nate Fealock-Cole (2), Metz (2), Taylor, Fazackerley, Burke and Matt Cameron.

Assuming the goal tending duties this season is Tristan Galka and Eric Johnson.
