On Monday November 25th Shelburne Wolves Bantam 1 succeeded in winning against Midland 5–1 after fighting against the weather to make the long journey to the Midland Arena for their 7:30 p.m. game.
With a slow start and 0–0 in the first period, Midland took the first goal against Shelburne. Activating the adrenalin in these young players the next two periods brought home a win for Shelburne – with the first goal scored by Cole Timmins, two more goals came from Sean Appleton, the fourth from Liam McCleod and final goal scored by Sawyer Kirsten.
The Bantam 1 started a great season winning their first 5 games, and after taking a couple of losses, this puts them back on their winning streak. Having played 3 games in a row last weekend, all the players exceeded to their full potential and showed no signs of tiring in this tense game against the tough Midland team.
Bantam 1 are playing their next game against their own Bantam 2 this weekend which will be very tense, at their home arena in Shelburne.
We appreciate the support of our team sponsors Petro Canada, Shelburne.
