The Shelburne Muskies are still languishing at the bottom of the North Division of the Western Ontario Athletic Association Senior AA Hockey League standings.

With 6 points, the only team farther down the rung are the Goderich Pirates who play in the South division and have managed to only win one game all season.

The squad’s latest loss came on Saturday night when they travelled to Shallow Lake and were squeezed out by a single goal losing 5–4 to the Crushers.

The loss came one night after the Muskies were in Saugeen Shores and left with a 5–2 loss to the Winterhawks.

The last time the Shelburne squad came out on top was December 7, when they travelled to Elora and left with a 6–5 win over the first place Elora Rocks.

The Muskies have three games left on the schedule for December – all road games.

On the record sheet, Blake Lovell and Tristan Fairbarn are tied for the top in the point standings.

Fairbarn is leading the scoring with six goals and seven assists to his credit – good for 13 points.

Lovell also has 13 points with five goals and eight assists for his total.

Chris Gree has 11 points with six goals and five assists.

Moving into the new year, the squad will host their first home game of the new year on Saturday, January 14, against the Mapleton Minto 81’s.

That game is scheduled to get underway at 8:30 p.m. at the Centre Dufferin Recreation Complex.

The Muskies still have ten games on the regular season schedule to finish the season before the playoffs start.

Elora is currently leading the WOAA north division with 25 points and a 11–5 record.

They are followed by Saugeen Shores and Mapleton Minto – tied in second place, each with 24 points.
