Faith restored

February 12, 2014   ·   0 Comments

Dear editor:

I just wanted  to say how my faith in decent, honest people has been restored.

On going to the bank on the weekend I was shocked to open my purse to find that several contents had gone! Thinking the worst – that someone had gone into my personal belongings or even worse, someone close to me had done this – I panicked. About to make a police report, I decided first to retrace my steps and hurriedly started at No Frills Grocery Store. To my disbelief someone had found the contents, which had fallen somehow from my wallet the day before, and some honest, decent, person had handed them in. Not only were there Christmas gift cards and sentimental photos, but worst of all my pay cheque – my hard earned cheque, which could have easily been cashed by someone!

So who ever you are, be it a member of staff or a shopper, from the bottom of my heart I thank you, because of you my faith in human kindness has been restored.
