Marie-Helen Lessard was selected as the recipient of the Equine Canada ProChaps National Coaching Award for English Level 2/Competition Coach Specialist. This award recognizes individuals who exemplify the National Coaching Certification Program, and set an example promoting rider education through the national Learn to Ride program. “You are instrumental to the success of our programs and your passion inspires other coaches around you. Thank you for all your hard work and promotion of our coach, instructor and rider development programs and once again congratulations,” said Kalie McKenna, Equine Canada Manager of Coaching. Marie-Helen, know as MH, owns and operates Equus 3D Equestrian Centre located in Amaranth. The farm offers lessons for beginners with EC Instructor Becky Davidson and coaching for more advanced riders in the disciplines of dressage, eventing and jumping by Lessard. MH also mentors coaching candidates. She is an Equine Canada Dressage and Para-Equestrian judge, steward and active competitor. MH enjoys volunteering in the community as a guest speaker for groups such as Women’s Horse Owner’s Association and promoting Headwaters Horse Country.
