Microburst tornado touches down just outside of Shelburne

July 2, 2014   ·   0 Comments

Tornado season has definitely arrived in full force. While dazzling and spectacular, the damage left in a Tornado’s wake can be devastating. At approximately 3:30 p.m., on June 24th, a tornado classified as a ‘microburst’ touched down on 3rd Line, five minutes outside of Shelburne. The microburst tore through trees on the property where Septic ’N Construction Services is located. A microburst tornado can come in two forms, wet or dry, and often has high winds that can knock over fully grown trees. They can last a few seconds or several minutes and are so sudden that there is absolutely no time to prepare. Fortunately there were no injuries to report as intense clean up begins.
