July 2, 2014   ·   0 Comments

Mr. Morley Brown, a life-long resident of Mulmur Township, was recently honoured by the town for his contributions. Mr. Brown has farmed throughout his life, and continues to pasture beef cattle. His volunteer achievements include his long involvement with the Township’s Committee of Adjustment, for many years as Chair. He is also a member of the Township’s Strategic Planning Committee, and participates in similar discussions at the County level. Brown’s involvement with the Dufferin County Museum is extensive, including serving on various committees, acquiring both Mulmur and Dufferin artifacts. He has recently acquired an original Mulmur Township road grader, and is playing an integral role in efforts to restore the grader to its historically accurate appearance and eventual display at the Township Offices. Mr. Brown is also a supporter in the attempt to save the historic landmark known as the Stanton Hotel, and is a member of a community association committed to this cause.
