Normac Chapter #311

October 1, 2014   ·   0 Comments

Normac Chapter #311, Shelburne, held its regular slated meeting on September 9, under the direction of Colleen Wood and Maurice Oldfield for the “Magic of the Midnight Sun”, year.
Many visitors filled the chapter room including General Grand Chapter committee member Jeannie Lee and past grand matron Carol Featherstone and past grand patrons Arnold Townsend and Alastair Milligan and Grand Chapter officers, Susan Purdy Grand Conductress and Mary Roycroft, Grand Martha.
Another successful beef supper was reported, thanks to all of the members who helped out. The installing Grand Marshal Linda Brimblecombe proclaimed all of the officers for Normac were regularly installed for the Centennial Legacy Year under the direction of Gwen and Norman Acheson.
Colleen was presented by Audrey Oldfield with her past Matron’s Jewel, which had been worn by Edna Francis. Maurice had a donation given towards the Worthy Matron’s Special Project in lieu of another bar as this was his seventh time as serving the Chapter as Worthy Patron. Past Matron and Past Patron certificates were presented to Colleen and Maurice by Gwen and Norman.
Gwen’s Special Project is the three local food banks with a special draw being made in June. The Worthy Matron’s travelling jewel was presented to Gwen by Colleen.
We wish Gwen and Norman a very successful Centennial Legacy Year and safe travelling.
