Stunt driver charged

On Saturday, September 12 at 9:40 a.m. Dufferin OPP were conducting speed enforcement on Dufferin County Rd 11 at 5th Sideroad in Amaranth. Officers observed a 2012 Ford F150 pickup traveling at a high rate of speed. It was clocked at 140 km in a posted 80 km per hour zone. A traffic stop was initiated. As result a 31 year old Shelburne man was charged with Race Motor vehicle contrary to the highway traffic act. His vehicle and license were both impounded for 7 days. He will appear in court in Orangeville at a later date to answer to the charge.
