Melancthon-based EmergencyID’s new retail program has arrived in Shelburne. The company will be hosting a Demo Day at Caravaggio IDA in Shelburne from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, November 2nd that will coincide with the pharmacy’s flu shot clinic. Anyone interested in the safety and assurance of a medical ID product, including bracelets, necklaces, wallet cards and ID tags, can get assistance with sizing, engraving, and the creation of a free online Datafile.
EmergencyID has been making custom medical identification products for almost twenty years. Recognizing a need in the market for medical ID jewelry that is both attractive and affordable, EmergencyID has developed a new product line that achieves both, and that can be purchased through traditional pharmacy and healthcare stores.“Buying medical ID jewelry can be complicated and expensive, especially from companies that charge ongoing fees,” says company representative Kristy Sarausky. “In response to this, we’ve created a line of products that people are proud to wear and that is also very affordable.” All of EmergencyID’s products are designed and handcrafted in Melancthon.
As evidence of the company’s commitment to making medical information products available to everyone, EmergencyID offers a free online health record, called a “Datafile”, to anyone who wants it. “Even if you never order a product from EmergencyID, you can still have a Datafile absolutely free. We believe it is important that everyone who needs this kind of service has access to it, regardless of budget,” says Sarausky.
Medical ID products allow for quick identification of any medical conditions, as well as emergency contact numbers, in situations where you may not be able to speak for yourself. Paramedics are trained to look at wrists, ankles and neck for medical identification. Wearing a medical ID ensures that first responders are able to give a prompt diagnosis and act decisively. Medical IDs are custom engraved with whatever information is most important to the individual wearer, including medical conditions, allergies, or required medications, and can be invaluable for those living with diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, peanut allergies, etc. They are also becoming standard fare amongst cyclists, runners, hikers, and anyone who travels, providing emergency contact names and numbers.
