Local Minor Lacrosse players earn gold

August 20, 2016   ·   0 Comments

Two minor lacrosse players recently brought home some major hardware.

Jake Doolittle has been a member of the Shelburne Vets Lacrosse Association since he was three-years-old.

This year, not only was he a big contributing player on the bantam box team, he gave back to the club by assisting the coaches with the younger players in the association.

His biggest athletic success this year was making the bantam Ontario team. He was able to help represent his province and hometown as he competed at the Nationals in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan this August 1 through 6.

This team was undefeated and defended their National championship title, bringing home Gold!

The Shelburne Vets are very proud of Jake for all his hard work and determination.

Congratulations Jake!

Tori Verbeek has been with the Shelburne Vets Lacrosse Association for many years.

She played on the bantam box team this year, and is one of the very few girls that continue playing at this age.

Having said that, she was a big contributor on the team and a force to be reckoned with.

Tori made the girls Ontario bantam team for the second year in a row.

This team recently competed at the Nationals in Calgary where they brought home Gold!

The Shelburne vets are proud of her accomplishments and feel she has presented her province and club well.

Congrats Tori!
