There is an account in Genesis 37:5-11 of a dream that a young man named Joseph had.

I would suggest you read his full story so you get to see the importance of never giving up on your dream. There is another account of someone who had dreams of a better future, it
would be worth considering.

It was the spring of 2009.

This woman came from a small town in Scotland.

She had a somewhat quirky personality, was perceived by many as being a little overweight and was 47 years old, but she had a dream.

She was asked one day what her dream was and replied, “I want to be a professional

Since she was the age she was when the question was asked, the person questioning her then replied, “Why hasn´t it worked out?”

Her response, “I´ve never been given a chance before now.”

The next question was, “Who would you like to be as successful as?” Her response? “Elaine Paige.”

The questioner was Simon Cowell. The situation was “Britain´s Got Talent.” The woman with the dream was Susan Boyle. AND the rest is history!

In that moment of opportunity, Susan´s dream blossomed into reality as the audience was transformed from skeptics to outrageous supporters. The song she sang, “I Dreamed A Dream” fit the situation perfectly.

Before the year was over, Susan Boyle was on stage in front of a large audience singing a duet with Elaine Paige. This would be a good time to remember you are never too old to dream a dream and see it´s fulfilment in your life.

Just because Susan’s dream had been fulfilled, she did not stop dreaming. She dreamed a new dream. She wanted to sing for The Queen and that dream was fulfilled in July 2014 before a packed stadium of people.

If a middle-aged woman from a small town in Scotland can realize her dream and become an internationally acclaimed professional singer, you can realize your dreams as well.

You may not know the how, YET!

Your chance and opportunity may not have opened up for you, YET!

But if you will continue to keep your dream alive and take the next logical step towards it, the door will open up to you in the right time and the right way. Faith has a role to play in the process towards the achievement of your dream.

Remember the words of Jesus as recorded by the Matthew in his Gospel: “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done. {22} If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer” (Matthew 21:21-22).

Never stop dreaming! Never stop setting new goals to be achieved towards your dream! Live life to your full potential. It is in such a process you will find the greatest joy and happiness.
