(Left to right) Jo Hubbard, Bev Nicholas, Kelly McDowell, GG Stillwell, Jean Jardine Miller, Josh Oatman, Debbie Tait, and Sherry MacDonald in the climatic moments of Trouble with Trent. The whodunit comedy, produced by the Tipling Stage Company, opened in Grace Tipling Hall October 16th. The company deserves kudos for bringing strong performances to the stage with realistic portrayals and comic finesse. Denis Stephenson delivered on his promise that the actors would be believable and the lines heard. Lead performers Jean Miller and Jo Hubbard delivered charm and chuckles, while Kelly McDowell’s bright deliveries kept the show moving in a script that was very problematic. The supporting cast brought colour and comedy and the sunny set and lighting transported the audience to the warmth of the beach even during the chilly October days of Shelburne. The Trouble with Trent by Fred Carmichael continues its run October 23rd & 24th at 8 p.m. at Grace Tipling Hall on Victoria Street in Shelburne. Performance prices are $15 and tickets are available at the door, Carrvaggio’s IDA, Holmes Appliances and Music Store, Shelburne Town Hall and on line: www.tiplingstagecompany.com
