Children’s Programs
The Super Readers Club has started. However, there are still spaces available for children to join. We had 10 youngsters here participating last week. It is a fun program with crafts, reading, activities, and prizes. It runs on Tuesday after school from 3.30 to 4.30 p.m.
The Paws to Read program is every Tuesday at 3.45. Come and read to Mac the Therapeutic Poodle. He loves to listen to children read.
Story Time is on Friday at 10:30: There will be a special guest doing story time this week. This will be a fun event with stories about elephants, surprise “things” about elephants… don’t miss it. We are still looking for moms and babies to start a baby song and story time. For any or all our programs you can call the Library at 519-925-2168

In conjunction with our OBOC, this past Sunday we held a Library Literary event at our library. The event featured Jamie McAlpine, who kept the audience entertained with slides and informative discussion about his trip to Vietnam. Other patrons who were on the trip also added some interesting details during the afternoon.
In addition to the exciting presentation the Library chefs, a.k.a. Rose, Jade, Bev and Trudy, cooked up a Vietnamese feast to the delight of all who attended. Vietnamese salads, pot stickers, crackers and banana cake rounded out the menu.
Nancy Frater from BookLore, always so supportive of our library events, contributed Spring Rolls and thanked Jamie for his great talk. It was a fun afternoon and much appreciated by the audience who put in requests for us to hold these types of events once a month!
