Local cannabis store celebrates grand opening

Greenhead Cannabis, a local retail cannabis store, celebrated their grand opening this past weekend.

“It was very exciting. We’ve been doing pretty good and it’s was nice to meet all these new customers that are from Shelburne as well as just passing through,” said manager Kaitlyn Bailey.

To mark the celebration, Greenhead Cannabis featured customers specials from sales to raffles to giveaways. They also hosted popups from their various brand reps.

“They spoke to our customers about their project, which was very good because it gives both good knowledge for us and the customers,” said Bailey.

Located at 116 Main Street, Greenhead Cannabis is one of three retail cannabis stores that can be found in Shelburne. While they celebrated their grand opening this past week, the cannabis dispensary has been open since the beginning of the year.

Creating a space where customers are comfortable and is also based in being educational has been a big focus for the store since it’s opened, Bailey tells the Free Press.

“We have a lot of customers that are first time tryers and they just want to know what’s good to start with or a good way to ease into it,” said Bailey.

“We want them to feel comfortable when they come in, we want them to feel like no question is a bad question. We love to explain everything and teach about all of our products.”

Some of their most popular products include dried flower, pre-rolls, edibles and more recently cannabis beverages with the installation of a beverage fridge.

Orders at Greenhead Cannabis can be placed in store, online, and by phone.

“We really appreciate Shelburne’s business and we look foraward everyday to meeting new people and having our regulars come in. It brings us joy and it’s been a fun process for sure,” said Bailey.
