Hospital gala welcomes Storage Wars Canada auctioneer Don Reinhart

The 2015 Stevenson Memorial Hospital Gala, An Evening at the Palace, offers guests three different ways to participate in the event’s auction fun with a live, silent and equipment auction. There is something for everyone!
The Live Auction features several fabulous items which will be sold under the gavel of Don Reinhart, Auctioneer from OLN’s Storage Wars Canada. Don was born into an auctioneering family and began his own career as an auctioneer in 1965. He has gained notoriety across Canada since Storage Wars Canada first aired in 2013. For Don Reinhart, auctioneering is a way to connect with people and the community.
Special for the Live Auction and new this year to the Gala is our Live Auction Item Raffle! Guests may purchase tickets for a special draw, the winner of which receives a credit worth up to $4,000 toward one gala live auction item. The draw will take place just before the start of the live auction. Tickets are $100 each and available at the Foundation office. Only 200 tickets will be sold, so call early to get yours!
An auction of shares in new medical equipment on Stevenson Memorial Hospital’s ‘wish list’ provides another option for guests to support their community hospital. The purchaser contributes directly to a tangible piece of hospital equipment, receiving a receipt for income tax purposes for the full amount donated. Friends at a table, or at more than one table, may pool resources to buy a share. This symbolic auction will raise money for priority equipment needs of the hospital.
A silent auction that includes items and services donated by area individuals and businesses will be open to everyone who attends. There’s something for everyone; join in the bidding fun!
The Gala begins May 29, at 6 p.m. in the Trade Centre at the Nottawasaga Inn and Convention Centre, Highway 89 East, Alliston.
