Serious collision

On April 27, at 12:52 a.m. Dufferin OPP were dispatched to a serious motor vehicle collision on Dufferin County Rd. #109 west of Dufferin Rd. #25 in Town of Grand Valley.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a tractor trailer and pickup truck collided causing 400 liters of diesel fuel to spill into ditch.
Dufferin EMS and Grand Valley Fire Department responded. Injured persons were transported to area hospital with serious but non life threatening injuries.
The section of highway was closed until 9:51 a.m. while a clean-up of the scene was completed.
OPP have laid charges in this serious collision. Dillon Howell, 22 years of age of East Garafraxa, was arrested and charged with Impaired Driving contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He will appear in Orangeville Court to answer to the charge.
