Come as your “Favourite Fairy Tale Character Day” will be presented by LP Stage Productions on May 30th at Grace Tipling Hall in Shelburne. The theatre company is set to open Into the Woods Jr. a musical based around popular fairy tale characters. At their Saturday, May 30th, 2 p.m. matinée, LP invites kids 12 and under to dress as their favourite fairy tale and be entered into a draw to win a prize for best costume. There will be a short meet and greet with the cast after the performance where kids can get up close to all the colourful characters, including, the Wicked Witch, The Big Bad Wolf, Cinderella and many more. Pictured in the photo: Ryleigh Smith, (Cinderella’s Step Sister) Rejean Ghanem, (Evil Step Mother) and Emma Springe (Step Sister) prepare to go Into the Woods which officially opens on May 21st and runs until May 31st at Grace Tipling Hall. Tickets range from $12–$15 and are available at the theatre door, or online at lpstageproductionsinc.com, or by calling the Town Hall at 519 923-2600 ext. 0. A talented group of local teens have been rehearsing the challenging music of Sondheim with both a professional musical director and choreographer since January. The musical, directed by Alison Port, is great for all ages with a very strong singing cast, hilarious costumes, and an impressive set by Dale Lundy.
