Adeleecia’s season ends on a high note

Local swimmer Adeleecia Aberdeen has finished her final two swim competitions/meets of the 2014/2015 season on a high note.
On June 27th to 28th was the Summer Festivals (Provincial Equivalent) Swim Meet was held at the Canada Games Aquatic Centre in London, Ontario. There were swimmers representing 78 clubs from across all of Ontario. Medals were awarded for places 1–3 and ribbons from 4–8. Adeleecia’s results were as followed of 6 races: Two (2) 7th Place Ribbons for the 100m I.M. and 200m Freestyle races, One 6th Place Ribbon for 100m Freestyle race, 5th Place ribbon for the 400m Freestyle, 4th place ribbon for 100m backstroke, and the Bronze Medal (3rd place) for the 200m backstroke race!
On July 10th to the 12th, the Dr. Paul Hauch Invitational was held at the outdoor Thames Pool also in London, Ontario. Medals were awarded for 1st to 3rd finishes only and there were swimmers from 21 clubs that attended. These were Adeleecia’s results: She entered 8 races and got a Silver Medal in the 50m Freestyle race and Gold Medals for 50m, 100m, and 200m Backstroke, 50m and 100m Butterfly, 200m I.M. (individual medley) and 100m Breast stroke races! Awesome finish to the season with 7 Gold medals and a Silver!
We wish Adeleecia a well deserved summer break from all of her competitions and can’t wait to see what she has in store for us next season!
