Mono man charged with B&E’s

Between July 4 and 15th Dufferin OPP responded to several break enter and theft occurrences on Highway 10 between the 20th and 25th Sideroad in Mono. Items taken in these occurrences include hand tools, portable power tools, gardening tools, gas cans and loose change from vehicle parked at various residences.
After completing a thorough investigation and interviewing several witnesses Dufferin OPP have arrested a person in relation to these incidents. Police have arrested Ryan Patrick Lloyd Lapointe, 24 years of age, of Mono.
Dufferin OPP are concerned that there may be other unreported occurrences of same nature in this area. Police are asking anyone who has been a victim of similar thefts in this area to contact Provincial Constable James Bronsveld of Dufferin OPP at 519 925-3838.
Police are reminding residents to contact the OPP Communications Centre immediately at 1-888-310-1122 to report any suspicious activity or suspicious vehicles in the area. Information such as suspect physical descriptions, suspect vehicles and direction of travel are useful tools for investigators.
