Joan Wallace, Shelburne Rotarian daughter of the late Ray Hardick, with Andrew Dawydchak of Etobicoke, Ontario, Canadian Open Old Time Junior Champion and recipient of the Ray Hardick Memorial Trophy & Rotary Club of Shelburne Award. The 65th Canadian Open Old Time Fiddle Champion was five time winner Kyle Charron of Barrie. The event saw 70 contestants from as far away as Ireland and drew over 1500 audience members the Centre Dufferin Recreation Centre earlier this month, including Scotty McHardy, who competed at the very first fiddle contest in Shelburne and last competed in 2013. The youngest competitor this year was six year old Savannah Leahy and the oldest was 85 year old Webb Acheson.
