Children’s Programs
The Paws to Read program is cancelled for three Tuesdays so that Mac can have a holiday. He will be back on Tuesday March 22 at 3.45 p.m.
Please call the Library to make an appointment to read to Mac.
Remember: spaces are limited and they fill up quite quickly.
Storytime continues on Fridays at 10.30 a.m.. There will be a regular Storytime on Friday March 18, the week of March break.
The Super Readers Club is almost at the end of this session, the last day is Tuesday March 8.
If you are interested in a baby fingerplay and Storytime, or any other program call the Library at 519-925-2168. See you at the Library.
Teen Scene
If someone had told me last week that there would be a teen sing-off in the library last Thursday night, I would not have believed it. But I saw, or rather, heard it, so it’s true! The teens were introduced to Freegal last week while we were working on our kind-bombs for the YA section, and the “Just Hits 2013” album really spoke to them.
There were laughs, high notes, low notes, and everything in between.
This week we will be working on some of those art projects that were mentioned in previous columns. The goal will be to create a work of art that conveys the spirit of reading enjoyment, and can include imagery related to our White Pine program’s namesake, the White Pine. I can’t wait to get started on these! Not only do we have a chance of winning some really great prizes, but the artwork would also be presented to the winning authors and illustrators of 2016!
Keep an eye out for these great works!
