Speed racing

On Friday July 31, at 3:15 p.m. Dufferin OPP were conducting speed enforcement on Airport Road south of 25th Sideroad in Mono. Officers noticed a southbound vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed.
The vehicle was clocked at 138 km/hr in an 80 km/hr zone. A traffic stop was initiated and the 27 year old male driver from Kitchener, was charged with Race Motor Vehicle excessive speed. His vehicle and driver’s license were seized for 7 days.
The driver will appear in court in Orangeville at a later date.
