The Centre Dufferin District High School Royals had mixed results over the week taking a loss at home then playing to a tie on the road.
On Tuesday, January 13, the Royals hosted Orangeville District Secondary School on home ice at the Centre Dufferin Recreation Complex.
After trailing 4-1 in the first period the Royals responded with two goals early in the second frame to come within striking distance of tying it up.
The game got away from them when ODSS notched three more before the period was over making it a 7–3 game going into the final period and putting all the pressure on the Royals to get back into the battled
The CDDHS team had a good third period and scored one more to end the game but had to settle for a 10–4 loss.
Evan Spencer, Kyler Latter, Stephen Falls, Darren Taylor, and Mitchell Skilton all notched points during the Tuesday game.
The CDDHS squad followed up with a second game of the week when they went on the road to take on Wellington Heights Secondary School in Mount Forest.
This time they played to a 2–2 tie.
Royals goals were scored by Keith Gordonier and Kyle Latter.
It was the Royals last game of the regular season.
After 12 games the Royals have a 3–8–1 record – good for seven points.
