Wedding Show Attracts Brides to Be

Planning a wedding can sometimes be a nightmare, but luckily for some blushing brides-to-be, they got the chance to check out some local wedding goods and services this past weekend.

Local resident Althea Casamento held ACCE Photography’s First Annual Fall Wedding Show at the Centre Dufferin Recreation Complex this past Sunday and saw approximately 25 brides joined by their family and friends pass through the elegantly curtained entrance.

More than just a show, this event featured bridal fashions, extravagant door prizes, swag bags for the bride to be, and a romantic fantasy theme throughout.

With the vast majority of vendors being local, organizer Casamento says the event was a great way for a bride to make sure her wedding helped the local economy.

“I think that’s what’s important,” she says. “You keep it here in Town, and you know everybody gets a chance to be a part of it.

With 32 vendors in attendance, there was a diverse selection of products and services to choose from, and the show format and exhibitor layout was carefully arranged to provide exhibitors with the optimal environment to demonstrate their products and interact with the brides in a personalized and professional manner.

With professional wedding industry exhibitors featuring bridal wear, DJ Services, jewellery, bridal hair and makeup and so much more, the show had everything you needed to plan your special day. With fashion shows featuring the latest in bridal trends there was everything needed to plan a lavish affair or a quaint intimate wedding.

It was all there and the best part was you didn’t have to schedule a single appointment or drive all over Dufferin County.

Casamento added that the event was perfect for the bride who wasn’t quite sure what she wanted. “There’s tons of ideas here. Everybody is networking together, there’s all kinds of ideas you can pull from all different vendors.”
