Children’s Programs:
We are looking forward to 2017 to starting up our programs again and adding new ones.
The Paws to Read program, and the LEGO club will begin again on Wednesday, January 18 from 3:30 to 4:30 pm
Story Time will start Friday, January 20 at 10:30.
Author Visit: Mark your calendars for Tuesday, January 17 for a special visit form the author R.A. Spratt who wrote the Friday Barnes girl detective series.
R.A. Spratt is an award winning author from Australia. She wrote the bestselling series Nanny Piggins (nine volumes). She has also written children’s TV programs.
Don’t miss an opportunity to meet with her here at the Library at 3:30 pm on Tuesday, January 17. Please let us know that you are attending.
We will be starting a new Super Readers Club for Ages 7 and up after school, so watch for upcoming announcements. This is a great way for young folks to enjoy reading and discuss their favourites.
Teen Scene
Teens had an extra week of anticipation for our Fan-demonium! event, resulting from the wintery weather last week. We look forward to Teens coming out on Thursday, December 22, from 6 – 8 p.m. for this event. Wear your favourite fandom gear!
This will be our last program for 2016, but Teen events will start up again Thursday, January 5, in the New Year! Happy Holidays and keep an eye on Facebook (/shelburnelibrary) to stay up to date.

Come in and stock up for the holidays. Books are now signed out till the second week of the New Year, so be sure you have lots to read. We are open again on January 4 just in case you need more. Happy Holiday Reading!
