The Ontario SPCA is urging members of the public to come forward with information about a deceased German Shepherd-type dog found on the side of a road in Mulmur Township.

The body of the dog was found by a passerby on Sunday, February 26 on the 1st Line EHS, north of Highway 89, in Mulmur Township.

A brown towel was partially underneath the dog’s body. The dog is a large adult German Shepherd-type dog and is black and dark tan in colour. It was not wearing a collar and no microchip was found.

Due to the level of decomposition, the gender of the dog could not be determined

If you have any information that could assist in this investigation, please call 310-SPCA (7722) immediately.

“Our investigation at this time is to find out if this was an act of animal cruelty,” says Alison Green, Senior Inspector, Ontario SPCA. “We are asking anyone who may have witnessed anything unusual in that area to come forward.”
