Shelburne Police Service responded to 98 calls for service between June 24th and July 1st 2013. Over the long weekend officers charged 36 people in relation to Highway Traffic Act violations.

Male charged with 

breaching court order

On June 26th, Shelburne Police responded to a call of an unwanted person. On scene officers investigated the complaint and determined the call was unfounded however the male was under the influence of alcohol. The male was under a court order not to consume alcohol and was subsequently charged with breaching his recognizance of bail and breach of a probation order.

Collision on Main St. causes considerable property damage

On June 27th, Shelburne Police responded to a motor vehicle collision on Main Street West. According to reports a female driver un-intentionally put her vehicle into reverse and accelerated striking a parked vehicle. Then crossed the street and struck another parked vehicle sending it up over the curb leaving all three vehicles with severe damage. The female driver has been charged with careless driving.
