For the second year in a row TransAlta’s Melancthon Wind Facility has made a donation of 40 turkeys to the Shepherd’s Cupboard Food bank for Thanksgiving. This year we also provided a 10 pound bag of potatoes and the other fixings to make up a complete Thanksgiving dinner for each recipient. Ardith Dunlop, a representative of the food bank, advised that patrons are only allowed to use the service one time per month so by providing the supplies at this time we are able to maximize the amount of families that can benefit from the contribution.
