Food & Water First visited with Bill Lishman (pictured with one of his sculptures and a familiar lawn sign!) and friends at his unique home in Scugog last week. Bill flew his ultralight to Celebrate Food & Water First in Honeywood last month, uniting the fields saved from the Mega Quarry with the 13,000-acres of Class I farmland his group, Land Over Landings, is trying to protect from a proposed Pickering Airport. AWARE Simcoe had an “excellent meeting in his unique home – anyone else have a fridge that pops up from the kitchen counter? – and more will be unveiled in the coming weeks!”
