Shelburne’s Pet Valu proudly held a meet and greet involving pet experts and the animals they love, protect and adopt out. On Saturday, January 18th, Pet Valu was host to Shelburne’s own, Feral Cat Rescue and three of the rescues. Interested customers enjoyed the opportunity to meet Feral Cat Rescue Volunteers Sharon Morden and Peter Fow of Orangeville who took questions and allowed supervised holding sessions with two of the cutest little rescued kittens who are available for adoption.
Pet Valu Sales Associate, Rosewyn Feairs knows how important the Meet The Pet Expert days can be to the public and to the pets. “In six months, we’ve probably helped six or seven cats get adopted to good homes. Customers have a lot of questions and since we work together with many organizations who bring in the animals, they get the answers they need.”
Sharon Morden, Volunteer for Feral Cat Rescue in Shelburne commented, “This is a great way for people to learn about our organization, the work we do and while they get to meet rescued kittens and cats, the cats get to socialize which is very important.”
