On Thursday, January 23, a Canine officer was monitoring traffic on Bridge Street in Bradford during the morning. At 9:45 a.m., the officer stopped a Honda Accord for speeding. After a brief conversation with the driver, the officer determined the car was being driving without any insurance. The driver, a 61 year old Orangeville man has been issued a summons to appear in court on March 12, 2014 facing a charge of Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Insurance. If convicted, the man will face a minimum fine of $5,000 under the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act.
