Man arrested for church B&E

Over the past few weeks Orangeville Police and Shelburne Police have been working together to get to the bottom of a sudden high rate of break and enters into local churches and residences.

On April 28th Orangeville police made an arrest of a suspect located near the scene of an attempt break and enter that was just reported to them. The further investigation by Orangeville Police revealed that the same suspect was responsible for 21 of the recent break in’s into Orangeville homes and churches.

Shelburne Police also continued the investigation into the suspect which revealed that he was responsible for both break and enters’ this calendar year in the Town of Shelburne – one into a home and one into a church.

The accused, 37 year old Jeremy Flear of Orangeville faces 30 criminal charges in total. They are 28 counts of Break and Enter, 1 count of Possession of Break in Tools and 1 count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.

The accused was held for a bail hearing.
