Shelburne’s new gentle dentist looks forward to ‘Children’s Day’

Main Street Dental in Shelburne welcomes dentist, Gary Senderovich to the practice. Having only been in the area for four months, Senderovich is clearly pleased with his decision to practice in Shelburne.

“I like Shelburne a lot. The staff is great, and patients are friendly,” Senderovich said. “I am happily inviting new patients. It’s my goal is to inform and educate patients with regards to what is going on in their mouths, explore treatment if needed. I have the reputation of being, ‘The Gentle Dentist’ because I am patient and do my best to be empathetic. I try to make the idea of visiting a dentist more comfortable for patients and I look forward to helping people avoid dental emergencies.”

‘The Gentle Dentist’ also has a few tips promoting dental hygiene advising, “Brush a minimum of two times a day, but be effective when brushing in order to remove plaque. I encourage flossing, letting the hygienist clean gums in places you can’t reach. Diet plays a key role in dental health as sugar allows acidic foods to break down teeth. The idea is moderation, and not to make treats such as chocolates, snacks. Have a chocolate but try to include it with a meal as in dessert.”

Hard cheese lovers will be happy to know that hard cheese can remove things like chocolate. Senderovich is not too particular with regards to toothpaste selection and is more concerned with brushing techniques, noting some toothpastes like Sensodyne can take up to three weeks of use before becoming effective. Gum chewers can rest easy as Senderovich recommends sugar free Xylitol for those trying to avoid sugar causing decay in teeth.

Senderovich is looking forward to Family Day on June 14th in Shelburne where he will get the opportunity to meet more Shelburnites as Main Street Dental will be offering a ‘Children’s Day’ of special festivities and free services to kids 1–12 years of age. Free exams, cleanings, and rumors of a clown and a scavenger hunt are sure to make the day exciting. “We are delighted that the town is growing with new businesses and this means more jobs. I am delighted that I can personally contribute to the growth of Main Street Dental which has been a mainstay here on Main Street for over 38 years thanks to the excellent care provided by Dr. Gary Magder and the staff who have been here for many years,” commented Senderovich.

“My practice philosophy has always been to focus on patient education, high quality dental care and a welcoming family environment,” Senderovich explained.

‘The Gentle Dentist’ points out, “We appreciate our patients and hope to meet many new families at our Children’s Day on June 14th.”
