On July 15, at 8:40 p.m. an officer from the Dufferin Detachment of the OPP was conducting speed enforcement in the Town of Mono. The officer observed a 2005 Ford Escape sport utility vehicle travelling northbound on King’s Highway 10 south of Camilla at a high rate of speed. It was determined that the driver was operating the vehicle at 134 km/hr. in a 80 km/hr. zone. As a result of the traffic stop, 57 year old male from Mono, was charged with Race a Motor Vehicle. The vehicle was impounded for seven days as a result of the stunt driving charge. The driver is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville at a later date.
