On September 9th, the OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – Drug Enforcement Unit, with the assistance of West Region Emergency Response Team, West Region Canine, and Grey County OPP, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a property on Sykes Street in Meaford.
As a result of the execution of the search warrant, police seized cocaine, psilocybin, MDMA (ecstasy), cannabis marijuana, and trafficking paraphernalia. The estimated, combined value of the seized controlled substances was $6,690.Police also seized $500 in Canadian counterfeit currency.
Victor Stewart (39 years old), of Essa Township, and Sabrina Foster (26 years old), of Meaford, were both arrested and charged with possession of cocaine for the purposes of trafficking, possession of psilocybin for the purposes of trafficking, possession of MDMA (ecstasy) for the purposes of trafficking, possession of cannabis marijuana, and possession of counterfeit currency.
They were both held in custody for Show Cause Hearings on September 10th.
